Claire A. Hendrickson

Claire A. Hendrickson, 86, of Port Orange passed away, Wednesday, February 26, 2014. Claire was born July 8, 1927 in Lynbrook, N.Y. and has been a resident of Port Orange since 1982. She is the daughter of the late Raymond and Lavinia (Loughlin) Cutler. A devoted wife and mother Claire took pride in caring for her family and cooking wonderful meals. When her children were younger growing up in New York she worked for the N.Y. School System. After moving to Florida she continued working as an administrative assistant at the City Island Library. She was an avid reader , enjoyed bowling and dancing. Claire was also a member of United Presbyterian Church of Daytona Beach for many years. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 66 years William; sons, Todd (Marilynn) of Port Orange, Wade (Cheryl) of Mastic, NY, and Glen (Susan) of Port Orange; daughter, Gail of Port Orange; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Her son Dean predeceased her in 1980. Friends may call 1-3 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2014 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd, Port Orange. Funeral Service will follow at 3:00p.m. Interment will be in Westhampton Cemetery Westhampton, NY.
