Edward Samuel Abdo

Edward Abdo “Big Ed”, 86, of Port Orange passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Thursday September 15, 2016. Ed was born in Syracuse, NY son of Samuel and Suria Abdo and graduated from Nottingham High School. A longtime resident of this area he was a 30 year member of the Port Orange Eagles #4089 and an avid Syracuse Orangeman Fan. He worked many years as a sales representative in the Food and Beverage industry until his retirement. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers; Nick and Alex Abdo and his sister, Melvina DeLuca. Left to cherish his memory is his wife E. Joyce Abdo, daughters; Robin Abdo-Lasky and her husband Troy, Carrie Abdo-Lasky and her husband Tim, son; Tom Abdo, sister; Rose Lousgnitski, grandchildren; Nicole Lastinger, Brooke Lasky, Alyssa Lasky and Adam Lasky, great-grandson; Noah Snyder and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd. Port Orange.
