Eunice G. O’Brien went home to be with the Lord on December 23rd after successfully battling ovarian cancer for almost two years. She is now rejoicing in eternity with her parents, Bill and Evelyn Siebelist, and her aunts and uncles, Esther and Max, Adina and Leonard, and Emma.
Eunice (68) grew up in Caldwell, New Jersey, and leaves behind her husband of 43 years, Bill, daughters, Kelly, Liana and Gwen (husband Andrew), two grandchildren, Titus and Ruby, her sister, Lois Nielsen (husband Tom), and brother, Ken Siebelist (wife Deborah).
Eunice retired (2016) as an ESE Pre-K teacher with Volusia County Schools after 25 years of service. She enjoyed road bicycling for over 50 years and had a great passion for surfing, snow skiing, racquetball, and pickle ball.
A celebration of a life well lived will be held on May 2nd. In honor of Eunice’s love of surf and Aloha, for those attending, please consider wearing appropriate Hawaiian apparel. As time and location are to be determined, Thrive Community Church Port Orange can be contacted at (386)256–0711 for additional details.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Health Well Foundation ”When health insurance is not enough.” at www.healthwellfoundation.org or Port Orange Hospice at www.Halifaxhealth.org. From the Halifax Health home page, go to – giving – hospice – Port Orange.
