Florence "Susie" I. Avery, age 94, of Port Orange, Florida, passed, away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Halifax Health Hospice - Port Orange Care Center. Originally born in Massachusetts, Susie enjoyed needlepoint and knitting until her eyesight could no longer sustain the hobby. Moving to CountrySide Lakes in 2014, Susie was a past member of South Daytona Christian Church and attended services there for many years. Her legacy will be remembered fondly by those who knew her, but especially by friends at CountrySide, dear friend Wallace Guay, his family, and Susie's sister, Judith Styles.
No local services will be held. Susie will be laid to rest alongside her late husband, Charles "Charlie" W. Avery, in a private service at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
