

Kathleen Ann Horgan, 66, of Daytona Beach, FL passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from heart disease. She was born January 30, 1951 in Sioux City, IA, to her loving parents John and Geraldine Horgan.
After graduating from Morningside College In Sioux City, Iowa with a bachelor of science degree and a Master of Education degree from Creighton University she faithfully served her country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Kathleen returned home and worked for many years as a Special Education teacher. She was a lifelong Catholic and a daily communicant at the Basilica of St. Paul when her health allowed. She was also an avid reader, loved discussing politics and was devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Kathleen especially enjoyed her many conversations with her cousin Sharon and she loved spending time with her loving puppies Molly and Jaycee before they passed.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents John and Geraldine; her brothers John Horgan and Robert Horgan; she is survived by her brother Thomas (Suzanne) Horgan; sister-in-law Margie Horgan; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Kathleen's family is planning to honor her life with a military service at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. Details for the service will be posted once available.
