Oron La Rocke Crawford was born in Glasgow, Scotland, to Jerry and Morag Mackinnon Crawford. He spent a happy childhood on the Croft Skeabost Bridge Isle of Skye, Scotland. Oron has many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that he grew up with throughout Scotland.
When he was 13, he moved to the Daytona area in Florida where his parents retired and his sister Dawn, his nieces Chelsea and Demi, and his nephew Christian also lived. He attended Warner Christian Academy and made many lifelong friendships. It was there that he developed a passion for football and was a member of the Eagles football team #37 and was their homecoming king his senior year. He attended CrossRoads Baptist Church in Daytona Beach, and his faith grew in the Lord and he accepted Jesus as his Savior.
Oron was an amazing son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend. He was loved by everyone who met him. He had so many talents to share with the world - a writer, artist, poet, and musician - an original. He had the gift of making everybody laugh and smile the moment they saw him. He was a loving and devoted son to his parents, a friend to all, and most of all a kind spirit. He was preceded by his father Jerry Crawford in August 2012, who was his true Hero on Earth. He had a special relationship with his parents - he always made sure to tell them how much he loved and cared for them. He will be sorely missed by his mother who now spends her summers in Scotland and when she was there he spoke to her, messaged and FaceTimed her everyday without fail.
Oron is survived by his loving mother Morag Crawford; sister Dawn Borden in Florida; brothers Jerry Crawford in Texas and James Crawford in New York. He loved his city, being in the sun and the coast of Florida. He had many, many special friends who were an extension of his family, who he loved so much.
You made a difference, Oron, we all loved you so much and our lives will never be the same again without you. You will live on in all our hearts.
