Richard H. Bush Sr.

Richard H. Bush, Sr., 81, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Hospice Care Center, Port Orange. The viewing will be from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 4815 S. Clyde Morris Blvd., Port Orange.

The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Port Orange. Interment with Military Honors will be at Daytona Memorial Park, Daytona Beach immediately following the service.

Mr. Bush was born in Lowville, New York and moved to the Daytona Beach area in 1979 from Titusville. He honorably served in the U.S. Army and received his B.S. degree from Rollins College. Richard was a retired Buyer with General Electric and a member of S.O.L.E. He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Port Orange and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed playing softball and was an avid bowler.

Mr.. Bush was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Z. Bush in 2005 and is survived by two sons, Richard H. Bush, Jr. and Robert H. Bush (Dee Boggan) of Port Orange; two daughters, Susan V. Davis and husband Jack, and Rebecca Visneau-Shaw, both of Houston, TX; brother, Henry F. Bush and wife Laura of Plattsburgh, NY; sister, Julie A. Longoria and husband Lupe of Palacios, TX; three grandchildren, Kary, Paula and Jeremy; four great-grandchildren, Gina, Ashley, Holdyn and Joel; and a dear friend, Lisette Frappier of Canada.
