NETHERTON, RONALD GENE, 68, of Daytona Beach, Florida and Louisville, Kentucky, died August 31, 2012 at home in Daytona. Survivors include his aunts June Thomas and Joan Lankford, sisters and brother; Lina Yates, Karen Gibler, Judy Martin and Link Martin, cousins, nieces, nephews, their families and an extended family of close friends especially from the Kentucky Department of Highways and Iroquois High School. Ron retired from the Kentucky State Highway Department, was a US Army veteran, volunteered in many youth development activities and was a long time supporter of Iroquois High School athletics. A private celebration of Ron’s life for family and friends will be held on September 29, 2012 from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Cremation was chosen. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Iroquois High School Athletics.
