Stefana Badalato

Stefana Badalato, 92, of Port Orange passed away peacefully Saturday September 27, 2014 at Hospice surrounded by her family. Stefana was born in Milazzo, Italy, daughter of Pietro and Rosaria Leto and has been a resident of Port Orange for over 12 years. A consummate mother and homemaker, Stefana loved to cook especially for her family. Family was her enjoyment and fulfillment. Her passion and delight was Bingo, Italian card games and gardening. Her love was roses and angels. She also enjoyed watching Spanish soap operas. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Left to cherish her memory are her sons; Peter and his wife Teresa and Sebastiano and his wife Concetta both of Port Orange; daughter Assunta Freeman and her husband Robert, Lititz, PA; grandchildren; Jack, Francesca, Joe and Stephanie and great grandchildren Jacqueline, Alexandra, Anthony, Lucas, Isabella, Kaylynn and Peyton. Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband Gaetano, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Friends may come Thursday 6-8-p.m. at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd Port Orange. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday 1:00p.m., at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church followed by entombment in Volusia Memorial Pk.
