

She attended Ticonderoga High School and then went on to SUNY at New Paltz where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree. Carolyn married Francis McCarthy on February 23, 1963 and together they shared 43 years of marriage. She worked as a bookkeeper throughout her career, but her most loved job was that of mother and grandmother.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Terrance) Cripe of Port St. Lucie, Florida; son, David (Gail) McCarthy of Jupiter, Florida; sisters, Marilyn (Danny) Pozzouli and Linda (Timothy) Huestis and Marlene Charboneau, and brother Leonard (Anne) Charboneau, Jr. of Ticonderoga New York; Constance (John) McGoldrick of Reno, Nevada, and Anita (Patrick) Lancor of Fredonia, New York; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Leonard “Lindy” Charboneau, Sr. and Arline (Witherbee) Charboneau. Carolyn was truly loved and will be deeply missed by her whole Charboneau/McCarthy family.
No service is planned at this time. A private memorial will take place for the family at a later date.
