

Dori Schnelle, 67, of Port St Lucie, Florida, passed away at home on December 10th, 2017. Dori was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and lived there until her retirement in December 2012. She worked as a medical assistant in several doctor's offices and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. But she most loved her work as a private duty nurse, ministering to her patients both spiritually and physically. She loved gardening, reading, camping, hiking and traveling. She will be remembered for her wonderful smile and her eagerness to provide encouragement and prayer for others no matter where she met them. She had a profound love for the Lord, her family, her friends and her church.
Dori was preceded in death by her mother Lucille, and father William Oberhelman. Survivors include her husband and best friend of 22 years, Bob; her children Scott, Brian, and Becky; her step-children Melanie and Debbie. She was loving grandmother to 12 grandchildren and loving great-grandmother to two great-grandsons.
Dori's life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 1:00 p.m., January 6, 2018, at Calvary Port Saint Lucie, 5555 Northwest Saint James Drive. Refreshments will be served at a gathering of friends and family, following the service.
