

Felicia Elizabeth Valus, (Wishneski), 93, formerly of Monroe, Connecticut, and most recently of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026. She was born on November 20, 1932, in Fairfield, Connecticut.
Felicia was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful friend whose life was centered on family, faith, and love. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard John Valus of Monroe, Connecticut; her parents, Joseph and Helen Wishneski of Fairfield, Connecticut; and her siblings, Joseph Wishneski, Barbara Wishneski Wilson, and Lawrence Wishneski.
She is survived by her four children: Richard John Valus and his wife Bernadette; Helen-Margaret Seferi and her husband Norman Seferi; Barbara Valus; and Jo-Anne Kaspar and her husband Joseph Kaspar.
Felicia was the proud grandmother of Nicholas Seferi and his wife Erin and their children Phoebe and Wyatt; Kenneth Seferi and his wife Amanda and their daughter Zoey; Trevor Seferi and his wife Sara and their daughter Elizabeth; Adam Seferi and his wife Aislinn and their children Jax and Margaret; Victoria Kaspar; Brandon Valus and his wife Evrim and their children Demir and Ela; and Carissa Valus Pouy and her husband Michael and their children Charles and Eloise.
She also leaves behind her cherished chosen family, lovingly known as “The Boys” from Pennsylvania.
Felicia found great joy in life’s simple blessings. She loved gardening, fishing, traveling, and especially cheering on her children and grandchildren at their sporting events and activities. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by family and watching generations grow.
A devoted member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Felicia faithfully served her church community through volunteer work and quiet acts of kindness that touched many lives. She was also actively involved with local garden clubs, where she shared her love of flowers, nature, and friendship with many dear friends over the years. In addition, she dedicated her time as a volunteer at Bridgeport Hospital, generously serving others with compassion and care.
Her faith guided her throughout her life and was reflected in the kindness, strength, and generosity she shared with everyone around her.
Felicia will be remembered for her warm heart, unwavering devotion to her family, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished and the countless memories they will carry forward.
Funeral mass will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown, CT, on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
Burial will be held at a later date, and will be limited to immediate family only.
