George met Jeanette in Brooklyn, New York and were wed on May 21, 1983. Two years later, they welcomed their daughter, Heather. George and Jeanette relocated to Port St. Lucie, Florida in 2004.
In addition to his military service, George was a loving spouse, devoted parent, caring brother, and loyal friend. George served the City of New York for 20 years as a sanitation worker. He spent many summers watching the New York Mets on the stoop in Brooklyn, so when George and Jeanette moved to Port St. Lucie, it was only natural for him to gravitate towards Clover Park.
