

John Philip Bisbano, 69, of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Bristol, Rhode Island, passed away unexpectedly on October 31, 2025. John was born in Fall River, Massachusetts to Mary and John B. Bisbano on November 17, 1955. He grew up and went to school in Bristol, Rhode Island, where he met and later married his high school sweetheart, Debora Marshall, on January 11, 1975.
John proudly served in the United States Navy as a Boatswain's Mate from 1973 to 1995, achieving the rank of Chief Warrant officer 2. His military career took him to various parts of the world, including tours in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm, where he earned numerous commendations for his bravery and leadership. His commitment to his country was unwavering, and he was a source of inspiration to all who knew him.
Following his distinguished military service, John continued to serve his community as a Deputy Sheriff with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, where he worked from 1995 to 2002. Known for his honesty, loyalty, and leadership, he left a lasting impact on those he served and worked alongside.
In his retirement, John enjoyed being Mr. Fix it, traveling, and just enjoying life. He always expressed the importance of family time and friendship, particularly interested in keeping in touch with those he served with. He also enjoyed sharing stories and knowledge with his children and grandchildren. In the 69 years that John lived, he was so many things to so many people. He was a son, a brother, a hero, a husband, a dad, a papa, an uncle, and a friend. John truly had a heart of gold, always looking out for others, lending a listening ear, or his arms for a hug.
John is survived by his beloved and faithful wife of 50 years, Debora Bisbano; his son, John Bisbano Jr and his wife Stephanie; his daughter, Jacquelyn Knowles and her husband Ryan; his grandchildren, Samantha Pierre and her husband Mario, John Bisbano III, Dominik Bisbano, Lia Giannotti, and Chloe Knowles; his great grandchildren, Mario Pierre III and soon to be arriving Alonzo John Pierre; and his sisters, Rosanne Day and her Husband John, Diane Careiro and her Husband Max, Brenda and her partner Nancy; along with several nieces and nephews. His legacy of service, love, and dedication will forever be cherished by his family and friends. Although John’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love and compassion in all that we do.
John is preceded in death by his parents Mary (Barboza) and John B. Bisbano; his sister Concetta Formisano and Husband Frank.
A Celebration of Life service to honor John Philip Bisbano’s life and service will be held on November 15, 2025, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am with a Reception to follow at, Aycock at Tradition, located at 12571 Tradition Parkway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987. Military honors will be rendered at the ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials or charities of your choice to be made in John’s memory, to support his legacy.
