Dear AnnMarie, I just learned about John Passing.  I am so sorry.  I remember him saying that he was going through another medical issue the last time we met at the luncheon for vets at Indiantown.  I thought that he would beat it.  I thought something was wrong when I didn't hear from him for our luncheon this month.  I am so sorry.  I will miss him and his easy going ways.  I remember him from Midwood HS in the old days.  for some reason, we were put in classes away from regular students.  those were the days.  Again, I offer my condolences to you and the family.

To know John was to love him. He was the Kindest,
Loving, Caring, Devoted, Loyal, Genuine friend one can have. John was a friend you had for life. He never forgot a Birthday, Christmas, Easter or any special occasion. He loved his life in Florida. After he had to sell his first house in Florida due to the economy, he settled in Port. St. Lucie where he was
the happiest. He was a devoted husband to AnnMarie and she was the LOVE of his life, besides
his fur babies. He adored his daughter MaryRose and was so proud of her. John was a man of authenticity, compassion  and everlasting commitment to his family and friends. Let’s not forget that John served his COUNTRY Proudly as
a Marine in Vietnam. John thank you for your friendship. You will always have a place in my heart,

John, I miss you. I remember you at our Wanderer band performances, I remember you and I cruising Ocean Parkway, I remember our deep conversations about life 60 years ago! 

Your birthday is June 8th; mine is June 5th. In recent years, we’ve called each other on our birthdays and talked. We talked about Doo-Wop, about Chucky Chocolates, and a million things our children will never experience.

Miss you buddy and our regular telephone conversations that easily lasted for more than an hour each. We would reminisce laughing about our adolescent adventures and the things we got away with way back then in Brooklyn.  We had many good memories over our more than 60-year friendship.
