

Kathryn Bendeck, a devoted mother, grandmother, and former nurse, passed away peacefully on November 24th, 2023. She was a woman of remarkable warmth, compassion, and a zest for life that left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Born to the honorable William A. Norris Jr and Mary Francis Kilgore, Kathryn dedicated her life to caring for others, starting her career as a nurse. Her love for the medical field was not just a profession but a calling, reflecting her deep-seated desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. Her commitment to nursing was a testament to her compassionate and nurturing spirit.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Kathryn was a talented musician who found solace and joy in playing the piano and sharing her melodic voice through song. Her love for music became a source of inspiration and connection within her family.
Kathryn's adventurous spirit led her to engage in local state political campaigns, where she tirelessly worked to make a difference in her community. Her passion for politics was an extension of her desire to contribute to positive change and advocate for the well-being of those around her.
An avid traveler, Kathryn had a profound love for exploring new horizons and experiencing different cultures. Her adventures abroad were not just about discovering new places but also about creating lasting memories with her loved ones.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her father, the honorable William A. Norris Jr, and her son, Chris Falletta. She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. John Bendeck MD, her son Alex Falletta and his wife Gina Falletta, and her cherished granddaughters Saylor and Finley Falletta. She is also survived by her mother, Mary Francis Kilgore, and her siblings Lori Carlton Greene, Jay Carlton, Melinda Kilgore Ussery, William Norris III and Ben Kilgore.
In celebrating Kathryn's life, we remember a woman who touched the hearts of many with her kindness, wisdom, and unyielding love for her family. Her legacy will live on through the memories she created and the values she instilled in those she held dear. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the melody of the music she loved and the warmth of the memories she leaves behind.
A visitation for Kathryn will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Aycock at Tradition, 12571 Tradition Parkway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987. A funeral service will occur Friday, December 8, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM, 12571 Tradition Parkway, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987. A committal service will occur Friday, December 8, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Rolling Oaks Cemetery, 2200 SW Del Rio Blvd., Port St. Lucie, FL 34953.
