Manuel Gabriel (Kuttyachen) was the second of two children born to Mr. &Mrs. Ayathil Manuel of Punalur, India. He was raised in a godly Christian home. He accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior at a young age. He married Suki Gabriel in 1969, and they worked as RN’s at Christian Medical College, Vellore India, where they had their two sons. They then moved to New York City in the early seventies. The Gabriel family moved to Florida in 1983 and were members of Faith Baptist Church where Manuel served on the Deacon Board. They have been members of Grace Family Church for over 10 years. He provided support and assistance to various ministries and families throughout his life in India and America. He always showed kindness to stranger and friends alike and will always be remembered with a big smile on his face. Manuel was a sweet, loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle, totally devoted to his family. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. He is survived by his wife Suki and two sons Abraham (Bobby) Gabriel of Fort Worth, TX and Samuel (Binu) Gabriel, of Port St. Lucie and their spouses Prinu Gabriel and Sonya Gabriel. He was blessed with 4 grandchildren: Abigail, Noah, Jasmine, and Asha Gabriel.

As a family, we were able to see Uppappen in Florida last year and spend some time with him before Esther started school. He has been good to us and we are thankful for the many memories of when he would visit us in New York.

My favorite memory of Florida Apacha was when he came to my wedding and gave me great advice about marriage. Even though he was sick and a little weak, he flew all the way to Oklahoma for my wedding and that meant the world to my husband Ben and I.
