
Salvatore P. “Sam” DiVittorio, 88, of Port St. Lucie, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 at his residence. Sam was born in Braddock, PA. He had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past twenty three years coming from Fort Lauderdale, FL. He served in the United States Army under General Patton during War World II. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Jo Hadley and son-in-law Blake Hadley, infants, Mark & Joseph DiVittorio. Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Magdaline “Maggie” DiVittorio of Port St. Lucie, FL; one daughter, Laurie (Barry) Wyckoff of Leechburg, PA; one son, Sam Jr. (Kathy) DiVittorio of Augusta, Maine; one brother, Anthony DiVittorio, Jr.; one sister, Marie (Ben) Cifone both of North Versailles, PA; eight grandchildren and eight great great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Aycock FH, Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel, 1170 SW Bayshore Blvd, Port St. Lucie, FL 34983. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 am, Friday, November 21, 2014 at St. Lucie Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie, FL. Entombment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City, FL. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Lucie Catholic church or Treasure Coast Hospice.
