1945-2021
PORTLAND-Audrey E. Bryant, 75, of Portland passed away peacefully at home on April 30, 2021 with her husband and daughter by her side. Audrey was born on May 21, 1945 in Portland, the daughter of the late Alfred and Alma Rioux.
She was one of eleven children and grew up on Peaks Island, Maine. Audrey attended Portland High School. She worked at XPress Copy Services for many years with her late sister Joan Cook-French and her nephew Marty French.
Audrey loved playing Bingo in her younger years in So. Portland on John Roberts Rd. She was quite lucky and won often. Her husband would say, “She’s going to work.” In recent years, she enjoyed going to Oxford Casino with her good friend Bonnie Petillo, with whom she grew up with.
She was a dedicated wife; mother, grandmother, and she adored her dog Mario and grand-dog Indi. She was a Boston Red Sox Fan. Audrey was outgoing, friendly, kind, generous, giving and loved by her family and friends.
Audrey found great joy in cooking delicious meals for her family and friends. She always expressed her gratitude for the love and care given to her.
She is pre deceased by her sisters Maria Ragucci, Joan Cook- French, Jeanne Kosciw, Barbara Souza, Alma Rioux ”Sister” ; brothers Donald Rioux and Jimmy Rioux.
She is survived by her husband Peter Bryant; daughter Julie Harding; granddaughter Marissa Harding; brother Richard Rioux; sisters Florence Griffin and Shirley Michaud; many nieces and nephews; best friends Bonnie Petillo, Cheryl Mannette, and Barbara Wallingford.
