She also had 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Family was the most important thing in her life. She was known as Ma, Nana, and Aunty Bette. She became a mother to many that came to know her. She always had an open door, open arm, policy. She also had an open ear for anyone that needed to talk.
Bette taught the people she knew many life lessons. She did this without even knowing. she lived her life giving from her heart. She knew no other way.
Bette published a cookbook with her niece Teddy Walsh, who passed away May 1st 2010, while Bette was caring for her. She wouldn't have had it any other way.
Anyone that was blessed to have her in their life, no matter how brief, was a better person for knowing her.
Bette ended her journey on July 14, 2010. She was living with her youngest daughter Betteanne, and caring for her three youngest grandchildren, Dominic, Aneila & Nico. Once again she wouldn't have had it any other way.
She will be missed by all that knew her.
Her family has suffered a devastating loss.
Until we meet again lovely lady soar like an eagle.
