Dec. 13, 1941 - Oct 3, 2011
A graduate of Kents Hill School, an avid ham radio operator, and a veteran of both the army and the navy, Charlie passed away surrounded by family on Monday morning after a battle with cancer. Charlie worked for Blue Rock and as a welder for Cianbro for over 25 years. Renowned for his seamanship, "Buzz" was well known for his green thumb, his love of family, and his sense of humor. He also had a fondness for his masonic temple and sharing memories from his childhood in Cape Elizabeth while fishing and working on the Jordan Farm. He will be sorely missed by those that survive him; his wife Patricia, his son Charles IV and wife Melissa, his son David and wife Joyelle, his daughter Justine Bohnson, his brother Gary and wife Liz, and his four grandchildren.
" Down Royal River, out to the bay, that is where we'd spend our day. Out on the ocean the wind in his hair, the ocean so blue, the sky so fair. He led the fleet out on the sea...me and my captain, my captain and me.." PW
