Portland – Clyde “Bubba” Dinsmore, 71, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 with his family by his side. Bubba was born in Westbrook, ME on April 29, 1947, he was the son of Edna and Anthony Juliano.
Bubba attended Portland School systems and was a graduate of Portland High School. He played football and enjoyed track and field, where he excelled in shotput. When he wasn’t playing sports, Bubba was on the sidelines watching wrestling, baseball and football.
Bubba served his country during The Vietnam War from 1969-1971, stationed out of Germany. While Bubba was in Germany, he drove military fuel trucks. Bubba utilized his skill when he came back to the states by driving tractor trailer for Ameri-Cana transport, hauling seafood to New York City until he retired.
Bubba was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He enjoyed playing bocci ball and going to family events. His hobbies were antique cars and photography; he specialized in taking action shots during sporting events. Bubba was forever young at heart and had an amazing sense of humor that always made people laugh even in his final days, which his family will truly miss. Bubba displayed remarkable strength and courage throughout his entire life.
Bubba is survived by his sisters, Ethel-Ann (Juliano) Mastropasqua and husband Pasquale, June Juliano and husband David Stanley and Karen Juliano; his children, Michael Dinsmore, Maryann Dinsmore and Kelly Dinsmore and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bubba was predeceased by his brothers, Stephen and William Dinsmore and his step brother, Sonny Juliano.
Bubba will be remembered by his sisters as the “fave” brother.
