Born in Portland Maine on June 13, 1926, to Vera and John Owen, she was one of nine children; all her siblings predeceased her. She was a 1944 graduate of Portland High School and was married to the love of her life, Emerson Way for 60 years prior to Emerson’s passing in 2007.

She treasured her dear friend, Andrea Dacko of Naples, Maine as well as the staff and residents at the Sunapee Cove Assisted Living Facility in NH.
