Dave was literally one of my favorite people. He was kind and generous person and a truly independent thinker who you could always have an intelligent conversation with. My condolences to his family. He will be greatly missed.

i'd like extend my condolences to the family and loved ones, of the man, myth, and legend... david piekos.  there's the slighest chance maybe one of you guys may have even heard about me.  regardless, i'd like to let you guys know that my thoughts have been and will be with you.  although, i've only had the pleasure of running into dave 1-2 times a years, he found a permanent place in world.  the first time hanging out... it was like 4am, dave invited 2 other friends,  and myself to where he was living at the time in chestnut hill.  we sat and listened to music till the rising of the sun.  thank you piekos.  this was like back in 95 or 96... i remember it as if it was yesterday.  thank you for everything

Oh Dave, My heart is broken!  It had been many years since we had seen or spoken to one another, but just recently we were brought back together and even with all that time that had passed, it was like all of that melted away and no time had passed at all.  I'm so extremely grateful to have had you in my life.  My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time!  If you see my uncle in your travels, give him a hug for me.  Love you buddy, until we meet again!

Dave, we have known each other for the better part of 20 years. We have been competitive and brutally honest, and warm and friendly. Despite any gaps in time, whenever we got together we'd pick up right where we left off. It's friendships like ours people cherish forever.
