Fern Clewley Carson, our Grammy and Mom, demonstrated everyday of her life what love is. She loved deeply and unconditionally. Fern was always willing to give to family in need and spent many days taking care of others, some of whom she cared for until their last days in her home. She was born in Oakfield, Maine and moved to Falmouth with her late husband, Earl Carson, to raise their family. Fern served her country by working at a bullet factory during WWII. She was head cook at Allen’s Acre in Falmouth, Maine for several years before retiring to take care of her grandchildren. She was a member of the West Falmouth Baptist Church. Fern recently enjoyed celebrating her 90th birthday and was always surrounded by family who loved her so dearly. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.
