Portland-Janet V. Seavey, age 72 passed away Monday Dec. 6, 2010 in Portland. After fighting a long illness. She was born in Portland on April 11, 1938 the daughter of David and Mildred (Boulah) Forbes. She attended Portland Schools.
Janet enjoyed being around her large family , friends and traveling with her husband who played music.
Besides her parents Janet is predeceased by her husband Paul Seavey, Jr; her four brothers, George, Phillip, Billy and Freeman; One sister, Virginia and her grandson, Timothy Seavey. She is survived by her 6 children, Paul Seavey III, John Seavey, Timothy Seavey, David Seavey, Melvin Seavey and Betsy (Bessie) Tucker. Also surviving are 30 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Sunday Dec. 12 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. where Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM . Private interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
