

Joan was a graduate of Lewiston High School. While attending Lewiston High School, Joan was fortunate enough to meet her future husband Conrad Roux. They were married in Waukegan, IL, and then settled in Portland, ME, where they raised their family.
Joan was an avid antique collector, loved to travel, a painter, enjoyed The Portland Symphony, listening to jazz music, going to lunch with her friends, and was a founding member of The Ronald McDonald House of Portland. One of the most important things to Joan was spending time with her grandkids and friends.
Joan is survived by her three children, Leslie Roux, Cindy Rand, Eric Roux and his wife Vicki; three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Joan was predeceased by her husband Conrad; her son, Scott; and her brother, Edwin.
A Celebration of Joan’s life will be held Monday, March 13, 2017 at Jones, Rich and Barnes Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland, ME from 12-3pm, with a life celebration at 3pm.
