

Scarborough - Pasqualine ( Pat) Webber, 94, passed away at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House on October 19, 2010, after a brief illness. She was born in Portland on August 31, 1916, to Irene and Ercole Conti. She was married for nearly forty-six years to her beloved husband, Leon True Webber, former Chief of Police of Portland, who predeceased her in May, 1982. Pat graduated from Portland High School in 1934 and spent most of her life in Maine. Dedicated to her family, she was also known for her volunteer work and superb cooking skills. With her second son, Leon, she authored a cookbook, "Pasqualine's Cuisine", published in 2000. She knitted and crocheted for newborns at Mercy Hospital, receiving special recognition for her work on several occasions.
Along with her late husband, she was an active member of First Lutheran Church of Portland and served on the board of Portland Area Lutheran Church Services. Pat was a Grand Matron of the Eastern Star and a member of the Italian Heritage Center. Although she traveled throughout the United States with her husband, including fishing trips to Alaska, her favorite time was the years she spent on Sebago Lake after her husband retired in 1975 as Town Manager of York Beach, Maine.
She is survived by her three sons: Fred and his wife, Robin, of Standish and Washington,DC ; Leon and his wife, Linda, of Anchorage, Alaska; and, Donald and his wife, Sandra, of Laconia, New Hampshire. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, and her brother, Fred Conti and his wife, Viola, of Windham.
Visiting hours will be Saturday October 23, 2010 from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodfords Street, Portland.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Lutheran Church, 132 Auburn Street, Portland.
Internment will be in Forest City Cemetery in South Portland at the convenience of the family.

The entire family would like to thank the staff at Park Danforth on Stevens Avenue in Portland for their care, compassion, friendship and professionalism during Pat's years at this wonderful facility. She was a happy resident because of them.
