

Portland, Maine- Paul Jeremy Mitchell age 44 of Windham died peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on April 25, 2016. He was born in Nashua New Hampshire on March 24, 1972. He was one of seven children to Jon Stafford Mitchell Sr. and Sharon Lee Putnam. Paul attended Deering high school in Portland.
Paul was raised in the Portland area, he served as a gunners mate for the United States Navy, upon returning to Portland he worked for Graphic Artvertising as well as Guidi graphics and then opened up his own screen printing and embroidery shop named State of Mind Design in Portland. Paul was very active in the Portland community. Paul had a passion for baseball and loved the Boston Red Sox.
Paul was a very intelligent man and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially with his fiancé Heather, having cookouts, shooting off fireworks going to concerts, playing his guitar, he was the life of the party and had a wonderful sense of humor and a heart of gold. Paul would help anyone out in need and was a very selfless man. He enjoyed boating and going out to Casco Bay and the Sebago Lake region.
Paul was predeceased by his stepbrother Matt Frechette, and his paternal grandparents & maternal grandparents. He is survived by his fiancée Heather Poore of Windham and her son Nate Hider and his fiancée Heather and their daughter Natalie of Saco as well as his parents Jon Stafford Mitchell Sr. and his wife Linda of Dayton and his mother Sharon Lee Putnam and her husband Travers of Cumberland. his brother Jon Mitchell Jr. and his wife Dee of Windham and Mary Levine and her husband Mike of Westbrook Larry Mitchell and Val of Old Town and Amanda Nashawaty and her husband Scott of Westbrook and Sam Mitchell and his wife Laurie of So. Portland and Tom Mitchell and his significant other Erin Mussenden of Portland, Paul's son Jeremy Mitchell of Florida and his 2 children.
Friends and family are invited to attend a time of visitation on Friday April 29, 2016 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00P.M. in the Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland, Maine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday Morning April 30, 2016 at 10:00A.M. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church 673 Stevens Avenue Portland, Maine. Interment will immediately follow across the street at Evergreen Cemetery. A reception will follow and an announcement will be made the church.
