Angelina Jade Prog, lovingly known as “Anga,” passed away on May 7, 2026, in Hillsboro, Oregon, surrounded by the love of her family and those closest to her. She was born on March 14, 2004, in San Diego, California.
Angelina was the cherished daughter of Michael and Linhda Prog, beloved partner of Leo Pedroza, and loving sister to Austin Prog, Sirena Prog, and Liam Prog.
A graduate of Liberty High School’s Class of 2022, Angelina was deeply passionate about education and devoted herself to pursuing her dream of earning a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. Her journey led her through several institutions, including Lane Community College, the University of Oregon, and Oregon State University. Even while facing serious health challenges, Angelina remained determined to continue her education wherever she was able. She excelled academically, maintaining a 4.0 GPA in college and earning numerous scholarships and academic awards throughout her studies.
Angelina embraced life with creativity, joy, and curiosity. She loved dancing, traveling, music and concerts, fashion, reading, baking, sewing, hiking, writing poetry, watching movies, watercolor painting, golfing, and most of all, spending time with the people she loved.
She will be remembered for her radiant smile and unforgettable laugh, her vibrant personality and quick wit, and her deeply kind and thoughtful heart. Angelina had a nurturing spirit toward children and animals and was known as someone who always gave generously to others. She was a compassionate listener who constantly thought of those around her, even during the most difficult moments of her own journey. She was always singing, the best dancer in every room, and carried herself with bravery, resilience, and hope even in the face of adversity.
Throughout Angelina’s cancer treatment, ladybugs seemed to appear everywhere she went — even on the ninth floor of her St. Jude apartment in Tennessee. To Angelina and her family, ladybugs became a symbol of hope, strength, and resilience. Whenever you see a ladybug, please think of Angelina and the vibrant life she lived.
A funeral service honoring Angelina’s life will be held Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Skyline Memorial Gardens. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with the Rosary at 12:00 p.m. and Committal from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In honor of Angelina’s vibrant spirit, guests are encouraged to wear spring colors.
