Palacios Ladies - Thank you for the memories you shared today!  Your Husband/Father's testimony shined bright in his personal life as well as his professional life.  I have know Ben for years and he was much more that an co-worker, he was a good friend.  I will hold his memory close to my heart.  My deepest condolences.   

Oh how you will be missed Ben.  Your faith,  smile, positivity and love of life and family still makes me smile .

Hello girls, all 4 of you,  I got to know Ben when he came to work for Skanska.
We joked around a lot. I would walk over to him and start singing Benny, Benny, Benny  and the jets...  He was a good man you could count on. I wanted to walk up to the casket and start singing Benny and the jets one last time, but that might have been weird..  to some obviously not me.
He loved you all so very much. I will certainly think of him from time to time.XOXO. You can reach out any time if you need a funny story.  I’ll probably add something here from time to time.

Still just so hard to fathom someone as vibrant and full of life as my brother in law Ben has passed on. My wife, his sister Debbie, is heartbroken and crushed at the loss of her beloved brother. Too soon and difficult for her to put in to words the love she had for Ben and a moment has not gone by where he is not in her thoughts. There is a void in her life but she takes comfort knowing he is now in heaven in the warm embrace of their Mother. 

I write with a heavy heart, but feel compelled to share a testament of my dear brother who I have known since he was twelve. My favorite memory, and one that captures the special person he was, is when he started playing sandlot football with a group I had been playing with regularly.  All the guys immediately took to him, not only because he was a great athlete and QB but because he came up with crazy plays, included everyone and made playing fun. He was a natural athlete and leader, passionate about playing and most of all very humble. Oh to catch a bullet or a long bomb from that arm of his once more! We also shared a love of  music and went to Atwater’s and the Cathedral Park Jazz festival back in the day. I have so many cherished memories from a man passionate about life. I know this is the same passion, character and spirit he brought to work and especially his family. Emily, Skye, Jade and Lily we love you and you will always be in our thoughts and prayers. Benjamin was taken from us too soon but his spirit and example of how to live life will endure!

I remember when you accompanied my Aunt Veva on a trip to El Paso Texas.  I'm so happy we got to meet you.

Dearest Emily, 

The years have passed since we knew you as a Baby, but on occasion  we have  seen You and Ben at one event or another. Your Mother has always kept us apprised of all the happenings in your life, like the birth of your beautiful girls  and what they are doing  in school, etc. and all the  fun times You and Ben have had with family and friends. 
Please know you and the entire family have our deepest sympathy for your loss of Ben , and each and everyone will be held close to heart in our thoughts and prayers.

When I moved into a field role with Skanska Ben immediately took me under his wings when it came to all things logistics. He was always available to help and always did it with a smile. I am going to miss going in and chatting with him daily and just talking about life, our families, football, and work. Ben you will be missed greatly.  Rest in peace my friend. 

There are no words to describe how heartbreaking this news hit about Ben. My heart goes out to his wife and girls. Ben was one of those co workers that was so approachable and fun to talk to about almost anything. He was always so upbeat and positive. I was lucky to come into the office during the pandemic and share with him photos of my new baby and he was so happy for me. God has a plan for us all. May he rest in peace !

Ben you will be missed by all that were lucky enough to have met you. Both Jaimie and I were heartbroken to hear the news and will keep you family in our thoughts. Your positive attitude and good nature brought smiles to everyone around you daily and from our family to yours we send our love. 

Ben was the Skanska superintendent for my team at Intel and an all-around remarkable human being. From the day I met him, he was a friend and confidante, a support system through impossible challenges, a problem-solver and leader, and the most likeable person on our entire site. Everyone who knew him counted him as a friend; everyone has been rocked by this tragedy because of the deep impact he had on all of our lives. I'm grateful for the example he provided showing me how to live life with a constant positive attitude and to always treat others well, and I'll carry it with me always. There are no words that can soften a loss this profound, but I want his wife and daughters to know how loved and admired he was by everyone around him, and to take some comfort in knowing that he loved them more than anything. He will be missed every single day, forever.

I can’t think of a time I saw Ben when he didn’t have a big smile on his face, he had a great smile and gentle temperament.  He was strong in his faith and a man of honor. I remember several years ago at aunt Paula and uncle Dave’s old house in West Linn. It was summer and they had a family get together.  I noticed Lily’s hair in the sunlight was red. I asked Ben if that was her natural hair color. He said, “no we dye it.” He had a sparkle in his eyes and a big smile. We both got a good laugh from that. Lily was just a little girl, it still makes me laugh to think about.

I love what Sam said, that having faith in Jesus Christ is the best gift you can leave to your family. I couldn’t agree more.  To know that we will see him again brings great comfort in a way that nothing else can.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have worked with Ben for five years at Intel for Skanska. Ben was a big part of our team and he will be dearly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Bill Collins

This is still so hard to believe, first I must say how sorry I am for your loss.  Unfortunately the greater a person was, the harder they are going to be missed. I think about all the great qualities Ben had.  Loving devoted husband and father.  Hard worker, willing to work as hard as needed for his family. Willing to do what was necessary to provide a great home and life for his family. One of  the best qualities Ben had was his faith.  There is no doubt where Ben is. Through Christ he has given everyone who misses and loves him a way to see him again. I think this is the best gift you can leave your loved ones. 
Every time I saw Ben, we talked about trying to go golfing “sometime”. I will never golf the rest of my life without thinking about my missed opportunity to get to know him better.  So so sorry for your loss, love sam
