Betty Lou Allen passed away at her house on January 7, 2014. She was born in East St. Louis to the parents of Clarence Moreland and Lillian (Freese) Moreland. She attended Venice High School and was part of the marching band. Betty loved her family and was very involved with every aspect of their life. She married Thomas Cantrall and had several children. She then met and married Douglas C. Allen in 1971. During that time she worked at the Bureau of Indian Affairs where she retired from. Betty had a lot of passions in life, which included painting with oils on canvas, bowling, arts & crafts with the family, gardening and playing bingo. Betty loved Betty Boop and was avid collector; she even called her car the “Boop” Mobile. Betty is survived by 7 Children, Bruce Allen, Brian Allen, Roberta Patterson, Vicki Huizinga, Sheryl Cantrall, David Allen and Brooks; Sister, Darlene Eppers, grandchildren, Teri, Marie, Jacob, Brian, Jacki, Kevin, Candice, Melissa, Michael, Stephen, James, Riki, Chrysann and Jesse and 18 Great-Grandchildren. Services will be held at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 1:00 PM.
