Betty J. Hesketh Entered into Life. Mar 19, 1928 Entered into Rest. June 21, 2016 Betty J. Hesketh was born in Petaluma, CA on March 19, 1928. Her family settled in Hood River, OR where she completed high school at age 17. After marrying (at 18 yrs), she moved to Portland, OR. Betty was the President of W Aux-OMA, leader of CWF, chaired the BoCE and was a member of PEO & Delphian’s. She volunteered at OMSI and Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a faithful participant in an exercise group; enjoyed her time on a bowling league, and regularly met with friends to play bridge. She was often the room mother in one of her children’s classrooms and was a leader or member of many other activities. Betty was predeceased by her husband’s Stanley Callas and Darrell Galloway, and daughter Pamela Thomas. She is survived by her husband, Duane; son Michael Callas (Joy); daughters Kathy Callas (Tom Wilson), Debra Domby-Hood (Bill), and Becky Schleicher (Gary); 6 step-children, 10 grandchildren, many well-loved step grandchildren, and her brother Bill Wood (Beverly). A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 26, 2016 at 1:00 pm at First Christian Church 1314 SW Park Ave, Portland OR 97201
