She was born in Tacoma, WA on December 1, 1927 to Kyle Hurley and Alma Walberg. She graduated
Girls’ Polytechnic High School in 1944 and later continued her studies at Behnke-Walker Business School.
She married Frank Budwill in 1950 and together they had three children: Mark, Alan and Karen. She
later married Leslie Springer in 1967, whom she met at Binky Walker Business School, and together they had one
son, James. Beverly worked as a Clerk Stenographer with the US Army Corps of Engineers for more than 20 years, and retired in 1989.
Beverly was a member of the Daughters of the Nile and attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Her
passions included gathering with family and friends, bowling, reading, sewing and playing the piano. She enjoyed
watching classic movies,especially westerns, mysteries, and musicals.
She will be remembered for her perseverance, resilience, and above all, for her devotion to family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kyle and Alma Hurley; husband, Leslie Springer; and sister
Elaine Deane.
She is survived by her four children: Mark (Chris) Budwill, Alan (Lodie) Budwill, Karen (Larry) Budwill-
Moore and James (Tara) Springer; grandchildren Matthew (Megan) Budwill, Andrew (Laura) Budwill,
Adam (Angie) Budwill, Alex (Brittney) Budwill, Amy Budwill (Josh Miller), Blake Budwill, Ian (Callie) Moore, Kyle Moore, Emily Springer (Austin Ferrante), and Aidan Springer; nieces Cheryl (Hank) Jebe, Susan (Steve) Yett and nephew Gary (Shirley) Scott; and four great-grandchildren.
