

Brenda Kay Coleman (AKA Delilah) entered into life August 13, 1947 in Winnsboro, Louisiana to Sam L Moore and Ethel M Moore both of whom precede her in death as well as her Son Frank James Bertrell Coleman, Brothers Roy B Thompson, Sam L Moore III, Willie D Moore and Sisters Gwendolyn J Robinson, Mona L Moore-Jimenez and Constance D Moore-McCool.
Brenda attended Franklin Parrish High School in Winnsboro, Louisiana and played basketball, she graduated in 1965.
Brenda met the love of her life Robert Isaac Coleman SR, and they were joined in marriage on 1/28/1965. Through this Love they were blessed with 4 Beautiful children. They relocated to Portland, Oregon to join the rest of the family.
Brenda worked in teaching for head start for several years. She then switched fields for production work at Steinfeld’s pickle company. Then her and sister Mona (acted like Laverne and Shirley) LOL. Was working for Oscar Meyers Hot Dog Company. Brenda Finally joined Grocery Checking for Safeway and finished off 30 years and retired from Fred Meyers on Broadway, for the work she loved to do. Brenda (AKA Delilah) loved shopping (Ross, Fred Meyers, and Kohls) was her favorite, she loved cooking, fishing gardening and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren and family. Brenda, Gwen, and Linda would roam the stores for hours. (Ursula, say they got kicked out of Burlington because they were still trying to shop, and the store was closing) LOL.
Brenda was very devoted to children, grandchildren, and family. Even after the dissolution of the marriage to Robert Isaac Coleman SR in 1984. They remained cordial parents and friends. Brenda accepted God in her life and attended New Hope Church under Rev Deaver’s and then Paradise under Rev Hill and ended at Fellowship under Rev Pack IV.
She leaves to mourn her, Her Daughter Ursula L Coleman and Son Terrace L Coleman (Nitra) and Robert I Coleman JR (Stephanie), Frank James Bertrell Coleman(Who preceded her in death), 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, Brother Demarcus R Moore (Joyce) Sisters Deborah L Warren (Erwin) Ollie A Banks of Portland OR Algia R Moore of Scottsdale, AZ. God Sisters Margo Taylor and Annette Preston and God Brother Dallas Dennis, and a host of nieces, nephews and family and friends.
