Brian “Bri” Carl Johnson, age 50, went to be with the Lord peacefully on March 18th, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 16th, 1975, in Glendale, Arizona, Brian was the cherished son of Rodger Johnson and Marilyn “Kaye” Johnson. He grew up alongside his brother Patrick, who arrived three years later and quickly became Brian’s lifelong partner in mischief and adventure.
Brian attended Jason Lee for both elementary and middle school. He earned his high school diploma from Madison High School in Portland, Oregon, graduating in 1994. Afterward, he received his associate degree from PCC and completed his bachelor’s degree at Portland State University in 2000.
Brian dedicated much of his career to the city of Portland, starting as a parking enforcement officer in 2001 and rising to Supervisor in 2014. As a Parking Enforcement Supervisor for the City of Portland, Brian dedicated himself to professionally providing services to public, city businesses, visitors, etc. He also ensured employees were properly trained, and had the equipment needed to perform their jobs. He considered his colleagues a second family and deeply valued the friendships he built over the years.
On March 16th, 2014, Brian married his soulmate, Danyel, instantly becoming a devoted stepfather to Jeffrey and Izabella, then ages 13 and 11. Together, Brian and Danyel welcomed two more children: Kade Rodger Johnson in May 2015, and Tatum Brooklynn Johnson in February 2017. Brian’s family was his greatest joy, and he relished every moment spent with them.
Brian will be remembered for his big-hearted personality, infectious humor, kindness—especially toward older people—and adventurous spirit. His love for life, family, and friends was unwavering, and he leaves behind a legacy of warmth, generosity, and joy.
Brian is survived by his wife, Danyel; his children, Jeffrey, Izabella, Kade, and Tatum; his parents, Rodger and Marilyn “Kaye” Johnson; his brother, Patrick; Sister-in-law, Michelle, niece Hailey, 2 nephews: Colton and Keegan, and countless other family, friends and colleagues.
