Nov. 16, 1956 - Nov. 2, 2023
David Scott Grasle passed away in his sleep Nov. 2, 2023.
David was born in Portland, Ore., to Wesley Reid Grasle, Jr. and Jean Steiner Grasle. He was raised with three brothers that never let each other down. They grew up competing in numerous sports and spending summers at the coast. David attended Lincoln H.S. where he first laid eyes on Melanie Camp, his future wife of 30 years. After attending University of Oregon he worked alongside his father and grandfather at Grasle Electric, later to become Dynalectric, where he spent the rest of his respected career making friends by playing pranks, cracking jokes, telling hard truths, and keeping his comrades safe. David was often described as a hard worker; dedicated and focused, without compromise, on quality.
He was a loving father who wanted nothing less than best for his family. He raised his daughters to be strong individuals that don't shy away from challenges. He left us with problem solving minds, love in our hearts, laughs in our bellies, and an appreciation for the things that really matter. He will be missed every day.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie; daughters, Sadie and Heidi; brothers, Jon, Todd, and Scott; and many wonderful nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A memorial will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Nov. 17, 2023, at Zeller Chapel of the Roses, limited seating.
