He was born in Vancouver, Canada on May 17, 1939. David graduated from Battleground High and received a Bachelor degree from Portland, State and Western Baptist Seminary.
He was married to Beverlee Hunt on July 30, 1966, and the two divorced in 1991.
David had a career in teaching foreign language classes, migrant education services, and later worked for the circuit district courts as an interpreter, and had a passion for Latin music, the languages of Spanish and Friend, and playing the trumpet.
He is survived by children Karis Almgren, Shane Hunt, Angelique Ramirez; grandchildren Davis, Grace, and Brycen Almgren, Preston and Grayson Ramirez; sisters Marguerite Gest, and Dorothy Johnston, and twin brother Doug Hunt.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 3:00pm, April 23, 2017 at Mosaic Church in Portland, Oregon.
