He was born in Portland April 15, 1932, where he lived all his life, except for four years in Corvallis. He graduated from Washington HIgh School in 1950 and Oregon State College in 1954 and was a mechanical engineer for Hyster. In 1956 he married Carole Jackson.
Survivors include his wife of fifty years Carole; son, Eric; and brother, Gary.
