Derek grew up in Portland, and worked at Gunderson in the Marine Department as a Forman. In his spare time he enjoyed gaming, World of Warcraft and Legos.
Derek is survived by his children Billy Demuth, Kaitlin Demuth, Michelle Demuth, Dustin Demuth, Fayth Demuth and Jackson Demuth; grandchildren, Jaxson, Elizabeth, Jackson, Bennett and Kyler.
A private celebration of Derek's life will be held amongst family.
