Dolores Mae Chapman

Sept. 13, 1928 – March 22, 2022

Dolores was born to Dorothy and Edgar Lucas in Portland. She spent her entire life in Portland and graduated from Franklin High School in 1946. While in high school she was in the orchestra and band and even directed the orchestra at graduation. After graduating she married Forrest M. Chapman and began raising her family of 4 sons.

She was active in the Portland Advent Christian Church now known as TRBF, teaching, and at times leading the church’s Sunday school program. She also sang in the church choir. Dolores worked for a time as a telephone operator but her “full time job” was as a homemaker. She died peacefully at home despite her various health issues. She is now sleeping in Lord awaiting the resurrection when Jesus comes again. She is survived by her four sons; Forrest Jr. (Glenna), Tim (Phyllis), Jeff and Tracy (Michele) as well as five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Also she has many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Forrest, sister Joyce Foster, brother Ed Lucas and grandson Kris Chapman.

A memorial service will be at 6:00 pm, Sunday May 1, 2022 at Thompson Road Bible Fellowship 7606 SE Thompson Rd Milwaukie, Oregon 97222. In lieu of flowers contribution can be made in her name to TRBF.
