Dona was born in Portland, Oregon on June 7, 1954 to her parents, Harry and Mary Johnson. Dona grew up in the NE Portland area. She graduated from Madison High School and attended Oregon State University where she met her future husband, Doug Hinkle.
She was a beloved wife, mother, and friend as well as a celebrated special education teacher.
She is survived by her two children, Jaime and Jason, two grandchildren, Jade and Jaxon, two grand-dogs, Boo and Nikko, and her husband of 50 years, Doug Hinkle.
A Celebration of Life for Dona will be held on Saturday, November 23rd at 11am in the Great Hall at Finley Sunset Hills Mortuary and Memorial Park, 6801 SW Sunset Hwy, Portland, OR 97225.
