Don Beck passed away peacefully on May 20, 2011. He was a WWII Veteran, a wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He was lovingly known as "The Pie Man" to all who were fortunate enough to have had the pleasure of eating his delicious pies, cakes and creme-brulee!
He is survived by his children; Greg Beck, Diane Marendish and Roberta Hodgson as well as his grandchildren; Renee Crowson, Sarah Beck, Ian and Elliott Marendish and MacGregor and Cole Hodgson. Don was fortunate enough to have had the pleasure of being part of his two great-children's lives, Maxwell and Abby Crowson. Don treated his children's spouses as his own. His sister-law, Linda Geddes said it best...Don had a way of letting each of us know "he loved us best"!!
In closing we would like to send a special thank you to our father's best friend Patty, for without her in his life, we would not have had the pleasure of this special man's company for so many years. Thank you Patty, for being such a special part of our father's life. He was indeed a very lucky man!
