After graduating from Benson High School he immediately enlisted into the U.S. Marines and married Bonita (Bonnie) Lindley. Together, they raised 4 children; Richard Snyder, Yvonne McPherson, David Snyder and Robert Snyder. His children then gave him several grandchildren and great grandchildren. His family was his greatest joy in life.
He will always be remembered by his kindness to everyone he met, his love of the outdoors and traveling.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife Bonita (Bonnie).
A funeral will be held at Willamette National Cemetery on October 17, 2025 at 9:30am.
