Dortha Jean Vancil

Dortha married the love of her life, Harold Vancil Sr. on December 4th, 1943 in Kansas. They later moved to Portland, OR. Later in Dortha's life she worked as lead cafeteria assistant for Portland Public Schools, where she was deeply loved by the children and the staff. Dortha was selfless and humble, she loved her family more than anything. She loved sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and Mariners, Randy Johnson being her favorite. Dortha and her husband Harold or who she nicknamed "Fuzz" would often go hunting and fishing.

A visitation for Dortha will be held Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ross Hollywood Chapel and Killingsworth St. Johns Lombard Little Chapel of The Chimes, 4733 NE Thompson St, Portland, OR 97213, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
