Duane Lynn Davis passed away on Jan. 2nd, 2016 in Portland, OR. Duane is survived by his son Jeff, 8 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by Shirley Ellen, his wife of 64 years, his son Keith Gregory and daughter Wendy Ellen. Duane was born on July 3rd, 1929 in Cody, Nebraska to parents Andrew Lynn and Clara Emma Davis. Duane enlisted in the Oregon Army National Guard in 1948. He faithfully served for 20 years, finally retiring in 1968 at the rank of Captain. From his start as a bank teller at First National Bank, he worked in a number of local businesses. He retired several times, first from Archer Bower Pipe as Office Manager, and finally from Shilo Inn as Night Auditor. Following his retirement he invested in a local Postal Annex franchise which he ran for approximately 9 years before retiring for the final time. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed growing vegetables in his garden. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association
