Edward Krieger was born in Portland, Oregon and passed away at home in Portland. He was a long time member of Zion Lutheran Church in downtown Portland and an Army veteran of WWII, where he served as a quartermaster. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Gretchen, parents Melger and Katherine, sisters Katherine Schlicht and Marie Kay James, his brother William and several nieces and nephews. He is survived by his nephew Roger James, his niece Gail Luchs, his close and longtime friend Martha Gogal and her daughter Beverly, and his caregiver Dawn Gloeckner. A service will be held at Ross Hollywood Chapel at 11am on Saturday, January 19 with a viewing the day before from 2-8pm. Memorials can be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
