Ernest Raymond Olson (Ray) died at age 90. Born September 8, 1924 died June 11, 2015 at his home. He was raised in Tracy, Minnesota by his parents Ernest Fairbanks Olson and Mary Carmen (Armendariz). When WWII broke out he joined the Navy at the age of 17 to serve his country and after serving 20 years he left the Navy and then was employed by the US Postal office in Portland Oregon. After retiring from the US Postal service he spent his time enjoying woodworking, gardening, ocean and river fishing on the Willamette river. Ray was a big Portland Trailblazer basketball fan. He is survived by his sister Mary Jacobson (Marshall, MN) and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mary Olson, his brother John Olson, his sisters Isabell Olson and Rosella Roy. Memorials for Ray should be made to the Veteran’s Administration.
