Mr. Fred Smiddy was born in Jellico, Tennessee on October 10, 1931 to his parents Clayton and Alma Smiddy. Fred was described by his family as a wonderful man with a gentle soul. He was proud to be an American and was very proud of his collection of over 1,000 clocks. During his lifetime he enjoyed spending time with his family and pets, fixing clocks, going to flea markets and garage sales. Fred really enjoyed the simple things in life. Fred was predeceased by his parents Clayton and Alma Smiddy; brother, Clayton Smiddy Jr.; nephews, Steve Parks and Phillip Smiddy; step-mother, Ethel Smiddy, dog, Rowdy Smiddy. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lula Smiddy; son, Fred Smiddy Jr.; daughter, Debra and her husband James Moore; grandchildren, Jen Shields and fiance Gary Coleman, Tim and Erin Moore, Ben Smiddy; great grandchildren; Kaili Shields, Brody Shields, Peyton Moore; sister, Mary Jane Brard and nephew Clay MorganParks.
