Gary Charles Noes

Gary Charles Noes, 76, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully with family at home in Portland, OR on November 16, 2025. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 31, 1949, to Clifford and Ruth Noes, he grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio graduating from Western Hills High School. Gary was a Vietnam Veteran serving his country in the United States Army from 1969 until his honorable discharge in 1975. Where he was stationed at Fort Ord in California.

He worked as a Local Union 3 well driller in California for 30 years where he built a family of his own. He semi-retired to Springfield, Oregon where he worked for the city of Eugene for 15 years. He was a car enthusiast with a love for the classics, who enjoyed buying and selling antiques, jewelry, and thrifting in his free time. He fixed up and sold many homes in Santa Cruz County. He was a selfless person and all around handy man, helping people when they were in need. He battled cancer for 18 years including two bone marrow transplants far exceeding his initial 9 month prognosis.

Surviving Gary are his loving children, Stefanie Hubbard - husband Lincoln (OR), Jacob Noes - wife Megan (NY), Paige Hesch - wife Mary (WI), Brent Palmer (CA), Sean Palmer - wife Lena (AK), Joanne Erspamer (OR), his loving sisters Martha Waddell, Judy Goodwin and her husband Jim, and Jane Noes, all of Cincinnati, Ohio.

He also leaves his loving grandsons Lincoln Jr., Christian, Nathaniel, Mason, and Spencer and granddaughters Jazmynn, Isabella, Samantha, and great grandsons Jade and Sage as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, first wife, Donna Maier, second wife, Kathleen Russell, and brothers Clarence, Jerry, and Terry.
